About Me
Seeking adventure and the opportunity to meet great, interesting people along the way.
I work for a therapeutic program and go to school full time... I love adventuring around Utah! When there is no snow I spend most of my time scrambling in a canyon or climbing a rock face. In the winter I live for skiing and climbing at the rock gym.
If I visit you I will probably pick your brain on some great locations to climb in the area.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Paying it forward because I love traveling and know what it's like to need a friendly place to stay.
Interests
skiing, rock climbing, canyoneering, canoeing, hiking, scrambling, writing short stories, telling long stories, floating on boats in open water, laughing whole-heartedly, making friends out of strangers, playing the guitar, reading, and sipping a good cup of joe.
Music, Movies, and Books
Too many! I love to read and these days I am far too consumed with school work's required books. When possible I love fantasy or science fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked the AT when I was a young ruffian, spent 45 days in the Florida Everglades on a canoe without touching land where I was attacked by sharks, surrounded by gators, bumped by manatees, teased by dolphins and almost swallowed by a hurricane.
Teach, Learn, Share
rocks/rope/knots and climbing, canyoneering, skiing, how to brew beer, how to cook a fantastic pizza from scratch...
Come stay at my house and I can point you to the nearest climbing crag or fresh, untracked snow =)
I would love to become better at sailing. If anyone out there has a sailboat or is willing to chat about this great art then please give me a shout out!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good conversation, some beer, a climbing/skiing partner, and maybe some coffee for the morning or a from-scratch pizza?
