About Me

Hi I’m an experienced surfer and host. I am a respectful guest and a host with southern hospitality. I like good conversation and interesting people.

Recommend me new music. I like to be more than a tourist, so show me the hidden parts of your city (your favorite park, cafe, small music venue, speakeasy, punk squats). I am a winemaker.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Learning from the generosity of others through couchsurfing has taught me more about mankind than all the books I've read.
and it's damn fun too! I have met some great friends on Couchsurfing and made some beautiful memories.

Interests

Disobeying german traffic lights, obeying my love of ice cream, bicycling around town, cyclotouring, cooking all sorts of food (my ramen game is fuego), writing letters with wax seals to faraway people, hiking big mountains, explaining to people the intricacies of how depressing American politics are, explaining to people how great German/French health care is, sushi.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you how to appreciate wine, to crack two eggs at once, make feuerzangenbowle, and crack a beer with a newspaper

Teach me about your local music scene, what makes your town unique, the wine, the food, the "local traditions", der Dialekt

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll bring you wine (if you prefer another regional specialty let me know)

I'm clean and tidy. I'm more than happy to cook some food together, as I'm usually on a tight budget and can't *always* eat out. I also recognize that if you are hosting people a lot you may not want to eat out at restaurants all the time. But do let me know if there is a food spot I shouldn't miss!

Love to swap stories, learn from others.
I don't hit the ganga but I don't mind if you do.
