About Me

Hello, traveler! First a couple notes about staying with us. Please take the time to read my profile. If you're going to request to stay here, write us a thoughtful message. Why do you want to stay with us? What are your travel plans? If it feels like you've copy and pasted your message, written it in 2 min, or haven't read our profile, we will not accept your request. We get a lot of requests and we need a way to sort through them. We lean towards people involved in the couchsurfing community (especially if you're coming from somewhere else in the States). If you're new, though, and you have written us a good message and have taken the time to fill out your profile, we will host when we can.

I grew up outside of San Francisco in the East Bay Area. I came down to Southern California in 2005 to study film at Azusa Pacific University, a small private school in the outskirts of Los Angeles. After college I quickly realized film wasn't for me and jumped industries spending 6 years at Habitat for Humanity. I spent 2014 traveling Europe and trying to figure out what kind of career I wanted. I'm currently working as a Massage Therapist while I put myself through grad school working towards a Doctorate in Psychology.

I can't figure out if I'm an introvert with extroverted tendencies or visa versa. I love sharing food and meaningful conversation. I have a love/hate relationship with new experiences. They put me out of my comfort zone but I still seek them out. I've always liked animals but find myself especially drawn to dogs over the last couple of years. You can find me at a busy party laying out on the floor petting the host's pet pup. I don't really watch TV, but love movies and books and will talk to you about them at length if you would like. I also spend a significant amount of my time and energy eating food or thinking about eating food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I see hospitality as an important and shaping part of life. I welcome you, you welcome me. Traveling teaches us about the world and about ourselves. And I love it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a lifelong learner. I am constantly researching things and buying how-to books on stuff that has recently piqued my interest. I definitely obsess over one hobby for about 3 months and then move onto something new. I used to shame myself for it, but I've learned to embrace it more. If you have hobbies you love please teach me.
