As a tour guitar player I use more couches, make more friends and meet more exceptional people than you can image... it is a beautiful process!!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed the Big Pyramid and sat in the King's Chamber; went to school in India with the King of Nepal; was almost eaten by a Bengal Tiger, bitten by a pit viper in Bangkok, roamed Ankor Watt in Cambodia, tried to take a motor boar across the Sunda Straits from Java to Krakatoa and nearly went under... and that's just for starters!

I can roll a cigarette with one hand, went to boarding school in Darjeeling India, grew up in Bangkok, Thailand and carved sand in Bali on Kuta Beach, flew huge kites on the Royal Palace Grounds in Central Bangkok, collected snakes, built two geodesic domes and lived in one of them in Vermont, hung out with John Lee Hooker, written three books of prose, poetry and short stories, continue to tour...

Started and ran a hugely successful Film Festival in Washington DC, ran many outdoor film programs... currently run a large outdoor Music Festival in East Tennessee; so much stuff - we'll talk about it all!!
