About Me
ABOUT ME
I loooove travelling! My dream is to travel around the world, meet the natives of the places I am visiting, explore hidden gems and taste traditional cuisines! Top 5 favourite cities that I have lived in/visited till now would be: Lisbon, Wrocław, Brugge, Florence and Dubrovnik!
I am a full-time nursery teacher, teaching children aged 2.5 to 5 years and I am currently living and working in Zurich. In 2017 I completed my Master’s in Special and Inclusive Education at the Institute of Education at University College London and previously to that I did my undergraduate studies in primary education in Greece. On winter semester 2014/2015 I went to Lisbon for my Erasmus+ programme for 5 months. Moreover, in 2013 I spent 2 months in Italy working as a volunteer in two high schools, in Trento, with the global organisation - AIESEC. The first week of my internship I was living with Italian students and for the rest of my staying I was hosted by the best Italian family I could ever meet!
I love meeting people, especially foreigners, and getting to know their way of life, way of thinking , their culture and their traditional FOOD!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Since travelling is my favourite thing on earth, I want to do it by taking the chance to meet new people from the places I visit. In that way we can exchange info about our cultures, everyday lives, countries, traditional food and secret, non touristic spots from our cities!
Last but not least, as soon as I am able to, I would love to host people to my city, show them around and help them enjoy their staying :D
Interests
My interests are travelling (in case that wasn't clear enough already), watching t.v. series, dancing, cooking, eating, going out and having tons of fun! I have also recently developed a new love for hiking - I guess that was expected after moving to Switzerland!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - Old time Classics: American History X, Shawshank Redemption, The eternal sunshine of a spotless mind.
Music: Old rock mostly. '70s, '80s, a bit of '90s. I have a thing for Depeche Mode, Simple Minds, Bon Jovi, Queen and AC/DC.
From music nowadays I adore the White Lies, Coldplay & Killers. And I am in love with Ludovico Einaudi!
Favourite songs of all times: Don't you forget about me - Simple Minds and
Shake the disease - Depeche Mode
Books: Mystery novels
I'm also a TV series geek. I don't have a specific type I like. My favorites so far are: Prison Break, Game of thrones, Stranger Things, Sherlock, Black Mirror, How I met your mother, New Girl, Friends, House and all types of CSI, Hawaii 5-0 etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I left my university, home, friends, family and comfort zone for almost 2 months, I went to Rome with no plans-since a day before my flight my volunteering programme in Rome was cancelled- and from there, with two parents ready to die from anxiety, the road led me to Trento. There I worked as a volunteer in a high school, I was hosted by the best Italian family in the world, met people I am still in touch with and meet as often as possible (in 2019) and this experience ended up being my second best experience of my life! (Erasmus wins)
