About Me

I’m a social, curious, and friendly person. I like getting to know people and sharing thoughts and experiences. I grab at every opportunity to try something new.

I’ve been getting into beach volleyball over the past few years. I love the competitive and social side of it. Something about being at the beach makes everyone more relaxed. Everyone is there to win but that doesn’t stop anyone from having a good time.

In my free time, I’ve dabbled in modern jive dancing, hiking in nature, engaging in deep conversations, and embracing new adventures.

Sadly, I cannot host now since I’m in a shared house right now and my flatmate is not open to hosting currently.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find the best part about traveling is meeting new people. Couchsurfing is such a great way to do this. It gives us the chance to hang out and meet you in your culture and build connections with people who are grounded in their lives.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Lord Of The Rings is my all-time favorite. The look, feel and music production are timeless. The way Peter Jackson films the movie makes me feel like middle earth is a real place. But maybe I'm biased because it's filmed in my country. New Zealand countryside looks like it does in the film, I swear.

Fantastic Mr fox is a classic Roald Dahl and captures a unique feel without being offbeat. The main character is a confident, likable but slightly narcissistic fox who takes quite a few L's on his journey and by the end, you feel yourself rooting for him. The film is littered with some amazing subtle storytelling.

As for music, I love classic rock. In particular Pink Floyd is my favorite. I'm quite basic when it comes to music.

I prefer audiobooks when it comes to reading because then I can listen to them while I'm doing all my boring jobs. At the moment I reading "Wheel of Time" by Robert Jordan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking in Thailand and Laos with just carry-on luggage for over a month. I did many amazing things there, including...
Paragliding in Vangviang,
A 2-day boat trip up the Mekong River,
Hooning around in a scooter around Ko Lan Island,
Swimming with elephants in Chang Mai,
Teaching English to kids in school in the countryside of Laos,
A 3-day hike through the jungles of Laos.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know some basic guitar, happy to learn or teach depending on your level.
I'm into beach volleyball and happy to show you some tips if you would like.
I'm currently on the journey to learn the French language.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've been told I'm a good cook and I'd like to cook a meal for you.
Any menial labor jobs or chores that you want help. I'm ready to put some elbow grease into it.
Excited to explore places together and share conversations.
