About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the world, write music, humbly help others, and gain experience and life stories

ABOUT ME

Basically a goth gf, but still got serotonin.
Local, but foreign as fuuuuck.
Punk roots, but soundtrack 80% hip hop.
Vegan-etarian, but not preachy about it.
Hiking and singing, but chainsmoke.
Shrooms & momma earth, but 0% hippie.
Fear of the ocean, but on here tryna surf.
...fuck, life's full of contradictions aye

PHILOSOPHY

"Admit it. You aren't like them. You're not even close. You may occasionally dress yourself up as one of them, watch the same mindless television shows as they do, maybe even eat the same fast food sometimes. But it seems that the more you try to fit in, the more you feel like an outsider, watching the 'normal people' as they go about their automatic existences. For every time you say club passwords like 'Have a nice day' and 'Weather’s awful today, eh?', you yearn inside to say forbidden things like 'Tell me something that makes you cry' or 'What do you think deja vu is for?'. Face it, you even want to talk to that girl in the elevator. But what if that girl in the elevator (and the balding man who walks past your cubicle at work) are thinking the same thing? Who knows what you might learn from taking a chance on conversation with a stranger? Everyone carries a piece of the puzzle. Nobody comes into your life by mere coincidence. Trust your instincts. Do the unexpected. Find the others."
-Timothy Leary

"Sometimes a journey arises out of hope and instinct, the heady conviction, as your finger travels along the map: 'Yes, here and here … and here. These are the nerve-ends of the world…'
A hundred reasons clamour for your going. You go to touch on human identities, to people an empty map. You have a notion that this is the world’s heart. You go to encounter the protean shapes of faith. You go because you are still young and crave excitement, the crunch of your boots in the dust; you go because you are old and need to understand something before it’s too late. You go to see what will happen."
-Colin Thubron, Shadow of the Silk Road

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been actively traveling for the last 7 years -- been able to host and mostly I've surfed. Just dig cooperative exchanges like this.

Last CS experience: I was Couchsurfing around Iceland for 5 months, challenging myself to maintain it from January-May and around the country without resorting to hostels, etc. And SUCCESS! (Although I may have slept outside in the rain several times when I couldn't find a host. A traveler's will is strong!!)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I plan to fill in at least 80% of the map before I die in a far, far away part of it.

Lived in 25 countries so far

-Music: I aim to open my own concert venue affiliated with a record label to get real, soulful music back into the public again.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1- taking 5 months total to ride a motorbike the length of Viet Nam... twice. Can't wait to do it again

2- Iceland. To put it simply: Iceland, Iceland, Iceland. Highlights from my 5 month trip include unguided climbing on the largest glacier in Europe without any gear, skinny dipping in a natural hot river in the mountains, sleeping in volcanic craters, the list seriously goes on and on.

3- Getting involved in Wellington, NZ's music scene is probably the best thing I've ever done for myself

Teach, Learn, Share

Always in the learning phase. Ask me anything as well

What I Can Share with Hosts

Let's talk story, cook, go for a hike, hit the beach (let's get me over this dumb fear of the ocean), and have general mad hangs!
