I am a technical expert in embedded systems at an international computer company in Hamar, Norway. I travel both for business and pleasure. Non-smoker. I prefer non-smoking facilities, and I don't accept smokers on my couch ;-) I am allergic to dogs and cats and I need accommodation without animals. I also don't accept animals in my own home. I usually come home late and leave early in the morning. I don't watch TV, so I don't care if there is TV in the room or not. Wireless internet is an advantage but no requirement. I am not used to traffic noise so I prefer quiet areas or room facing the backside of the building. I am the type of person who prefer printed books and magazines over sound-books and ebook, I prefer cross-country over slalom, canoe over jet-skis, push-bike over scooter, steak over burger, beer over cola, etc. I hate shops and restaurants with loud music. I don't eat fast-food unless there is no other food available and I am starving. I love italian and mexican food. I never make noise. I am a very good chef, but I usually don't cook myself when I travel. Hence kitchen is no "must have", but fridge and electric kettle is nice. If you want we can cook together in my place or your place.
I have been to most countries in Europe, but lots remain to be seen. I love places "out of the beaten track".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have stayed in several rented private rooms, apartments, annexes, etc, and hence I decided to try out airbnb, and made personal friend with my first host, Niels. Now I want to try couchsurfing. My ex-wife made good friends here.

I like action movies with car-chases, like 007 and Fast&Furious. I also like historical books and films.
