Hey there! I'm Erik :)

I was born and raised in South Florida and am still living in Fort Lauderdale till this day. I'm mixed with Puerto Rican on my mom's side and Chilean on my dad's side. I've been to Puerto Rico, Chile, Venezuela and Bolivia while visiting my father a few times, since he would work in different South American countries.

I don't know what else to say sooo ask me stuff :P

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really just want to leave. I feel like there is so much more waiting for me out there. I feel like I don't really belong in this society anymore. I want to explore and meet new people with different views and beliefs. I don't like my government. I don't like the way the media controls every single aspect of our lives. I almost feel like a prisoner in the USA. But aside from all the negative reasons, I really just want to see the beauty of the different lands and people, and learn as much as I can so I can return home one day a new man. It's time for me to fly :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of old-school music, but I don't exactly have a preference, just as long as it sounds good. My favorite movies are 40 year-old virgin and anything with Jack Black. My favorite author is J.K. Rowling, I've read the first 5 Harry Potter books and seen most of the movies. Another favorite book is The Trench by Steve Alten.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Me and some friends I met in Venezuela walked about an hour to this little secret waterfall that functioned as a natural water slide! That was the most fun I've ever had.
