About Me

I am free spirited, down to earth, left wing (social democrat/ anti-authoritarism).

I'm talkative, but not loud. Caring and maternal, I don't judge, but I don't do anything that I can not. Self-assured, laid-back, I usually don't take things personally; we never know where people are coming from!

I like sports and night outs. I love both the city life and the woods.

I am clean and I like organization. I respect people's space and life styles, so I expect mine to be respected.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to couch surf when I travel so it is only fair that I offer my place as well.

I think this is a very sustainable way of travelling . It brings people together, it can potentially teach people to be more tolerant of one another and more open minded to other life-styles.

I believe I balance well a healthy life (slow cooking habits and exercise with moderation) and bohemian life.

Interests

I love movies, open concept bars, live music, reading, parks, hiking, art of all kinds. Cooking is my passion.

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock, pop, Indie, Jazz, Brazilian music, Bossa Nova, raggae and that sort.

Love Kubrick and Tarantino.

Read Psychology and Phylosophy often, I like Gaiman and several classic Brazilian novelists. I like fantastic stories.

Civil Disobedience by Thoreau, Surveil and Punish by Foucault and Civilization and its discontents by Freud are among my favorite books. Along with the whole Harry Potter collection!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been invited to be part of the Brazilian team in the 2015 Karate Sourthamerican competition. I started karate when I was already an adult. I practiced while I was going to college, working, mothering, and there I was, last year, at age 36 with a 5 year old little one waiting for me at home!

Teach, Learn, Share

I live with little. Mostly by choice. The less you have, the more freedom you have to do more.

I am with Thoreau when he says: "Wealth is the ability to fully experience life"

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think I am a good listener as well as story teller. I am very organized so I won't disrupt anyone's life, although I wish to be a nice addition to it!

I want to believe I have an interesting cultural background so conversations can potentially be nice, although I am very autonomous, so I won't be depending on any one who would rather be left alone.
