Good books, good movies, and good chocolate. I'll go on outdoor adventures whenever I can - I love skiing, water skiing, hiking, mountain biking, backpacking, swimming, etc. I love learning languages although I'm not very good at it :) Right now I'm learning German and Persian when I have time. I enjoy conversations of substance and I believe few topics are taboo. I love meeting interesting people and learning about their unique perspectives.

I’m expanding my world-view by traveling outside my comfort zone. My primary goal is to experience places as locals do. I want to explore hidden nooks and crannies and learn more about people and places. I believe that you cannot truly get to know a place unless you spend time with its people. Plus I'm always up for some company during my travels!

I am an avid lover of all things outdoors and nature-related. I love to learn. I also like to write and watch foreign films. I’m learning German, aber ich spreche nur ein wenig Deutsch. I'm level B1 according to a test I took online :D

I’m also interested in learning other languages, so teach me a phrase or two! I want to sky dive one day.

In summer 2017 I interned with the Smithsonian Institution in D.C. I did research on DNA barcoding and the mislabeling of seafood products.

I've also fostered 18 dogs and puppies in the past and found them homes :)
