I'm a first year grad student pursuing her PhD in philosophy and who recently made the move from Houston to Seattle. I love cook, bike, and hike and make as many friends as I can along the way! I'm a big fan of crossword puzzles, dance floors, and dogs, and am looking to travel around as much as I can on the few extra dollars my stipend allows.

I've heard really great things from friends and family and have always wanted to try it. This year I have trips planned to both Victoria, BC and a longer one to Spain and it looked like the perfect opportunity to try it out. I always love meeting the people sitting next to me on airplanes, am the one to try to crack a joke to get a waiting-in-line-together conversation going, and love seeing which strangers become friends throughout my travels. I also aim to get as close as I can to the 'pulse' of each city I visit and it seems like couchsurfing is one of the best ways I can do that!

兴趣

Biking is my main mode of transportation at home and is one of the ways I love to decompress after a long day. After my ride home, I love the ritual of preparing a meal at the end of a day and am always looking for a new recipe to try out. I've also taken basic dance classes in salsa, merengue, hip-hop- you name it- and love dance it all its forms. Although I'm still not very good and have only pursued it socially, there's nothing better than finding a good dance floor! I'm also a big dog lover and look forward to the day when I'll be able to make the jump to having one of my own.

I grew up in a card game playing family, so promise to show up with a deck of cards and some games at the ready to teach! I also love to bake and cook and thing friendships are best made when working together to make a feast in the kitchen.
