About Me
I want to go everywhere! The more different the better. I love languages, cultures, comedy, dancing, air and space museums, early 20th century maritime history, the Fast and Furious movies, cats, and nature.
I was born in Germany but grew up in the U.S. I lived for a while in Beijing and loved it.
Also, I'm a vegan. So I'm always interested in seeing what vegan options I can enjoy from different countries' specialties.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love getting a local perspective - I stayed at someone's house in St. Petersburg who was a friend of my mom's friend's who I'd never met before. She showed me all the local sights and really made my trip to Russia incredible. When I went to Cairo I stayed with an American family and met a few Egyptian guys who were connected to my university and they showed me around and really let me see Cairo like I never could on my own. I got to break the fast at Ramadan with a family in Amman, Jordan. I went to a house party in Istanbul. I love meeting people and getting to see what it's like to live in another country!
I also really like traveling by myself, and sometimes the places I go are a little intimidating, so I'd love to know somebody there!
I'd enjoy meeting people who are coming to LA, especially people who are willing to let me practice one of the languages I'm learning! I might be able to host, I have two roommates so it all depends on if they're comfortable with it. If you want to come to a comedy show with me and see a little bit of underground LA, I'll take you :)
