I am Erika Calderón or KIKA and come directly from Colombia, I chose photography combined with other disciplines as my way to communicate, work and live since 2008.

I started my studies in photography, fashion production and design in my hometown Bogotá, Buenos Aires and New York, where I had the pleasure to work and learn from the Swiss artist Alex Kayser as his assistant for more than 1 year. Currently, I am discovering how to connect all the knowledge that came into my life through the developing of the career of Camera Arts at the Hochschule Kunst & Design of Lucerne.

To complement my interests I love travel expeditions and work with cultural management and editorial design, mainly for art and community projects, fashion or events.

Nowadays, I work in the project ― KOMÅ ● food studio ― that founded with my partner, a chef from Venezuela, in which are combine gastronomic knowledge from the different cultures of the world, their roots and influences, though the construction of imaginative, creative and educational experiences.

I am open mind girl, always happy to live new experiences, people and places. I think in this moment of my life the best thing I can do is travel, to perceive the world around me and look farther, to live the life and learn the things that I would never learn in the academy. Some kind of nomad, going from one place to another and let the life take me where it wants, I think after being and really feel the places you go, you finish being from all the world, a little bit of all of that places become part of you.

I am very happy to learn about couchsurfing life, always so glad to meet people and learn from them...to know different thoughts, lives and cultures. This is a good and interesting way to have amazing connections around the world and to can enjoy all that we have.

I have some amazing experiences trough couchsurfing ... and have grown very good friendships. At the same, I am used to travel and host with people the same spirit, nothing like getting to know a place with locals!!!!!!

To be around good energy, nice people that can teach me and can give me nice experiences. It doesn't matter about what I like to do in my free time, it matter how I decide to live the moments and there are tons of cities with uncountable things to live.

To travel around Colombia as a backpacker, enjoying the simple landscape of my country. AMAZING BEACHES.....I would be very happy to show you and teach you all about one the most incredible countries in the world.

I also love to cook and know some nice recipes from south america, so of course a meal would be a nice way to meet each other .
