About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I've just started a PhD looking at black-cockatoos, and will soon be spending quite bit of time out in the field. Heading to Adelaide for a conference in November, and saving for non-uni related adventures.

ABOUT ME

I am a huge bird nerd, but all other forms of life interest me as well. Coming from a country that is full of deadly animals I have a healthy respect for nature, but I still grew up catching lizards and insects (the things that don't kill you). I lived in Ithaca, New York for 18 months where I caught snakes that don't kill you, salamanders, and tortoises. All creatures that we don't get in Aus.
I'm not really sure what I'm getting to here, but basically, if you come hang out with me you can expect to see a lot of wildlife.

PHILOSOPHY

See all the things, visit all the places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm trying to work out if I can have people stay, so STAY TUNED!

I'm also very good at sleeping on couches.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had a successful couch surfing experience in Geelong while attending a conference. And if crashing on a friend's couch for a few months counts then Woohoo! Couchsurfing all the way!

Interests

Photography, nature, conservation, wildlife, birds, exploration, cooking, sleeping in, Antarctica, sorbet!
Also baking! I like to bake more than I like to eat the results, so I am always in need to people to eat things!

Music, Movies, and Books

I can tolerate most things, but to write a complete list would take up far too much space!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hatched a dwarf gecko by accident while I was out researching on the Kenyan savannah, that was pretty awesome.
