Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Working in higher education with a focus in technology and media and spending more time outside. I also teach film and computer science-oriented courses at 2 institutions I spend my free time playing roller derby, tennis, volunteering at my local animal shelter, and rock climbing.
ABOUT ME
I've found myself in Boston, NYC and Washington, DC but am currently living a calmer life in Concord, NH. I moved up here for a job opportunity and left everything behind in Washington (where I had lived for seven years previously).
My husband and I have 2 cats and chickens and now own our lovely home.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't be an armchair activist!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hoping to be a friend to travelers - my husband, cats, and I live together and have an extra bedroom we host a less than I used to, but am still willing to host an occasional traveler.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've done some air bnb-ing and some hosteling.
TO SURFERS
I have a backyard, an extra bedroom, parking and remote access to my house. I have a food allergy, so just be aware I do cook with a lot of precaution and care towards this end at home - I cook and keep vegetarian, my husband cooks meat, so we welcome any style of eating at our house, but note most food cooked in the home is vegetarian . I'm a short drive to all the ski resorts and the beautiful mountains of New Hampshire.
I often can not necessarily accommodate last-minute requests, advanced notice of 1-2 weeks or more is best for my schedule. I host folks from all walks of life, but prefer details in your request to stay. I do not appreciate random messages, they will be deleted or blocked. Merci Beaucoup.
Also I don't accept random messages. I will block you if you message randomly.
