ABOUT ME

I'm a 20 year old student International Relations in Groningen - up in the north of the Netherlands. Besides actually studying I am very much enjoying a student's life. I like reading, sports (both watching and doing), cooking and hanging out with my family/friends. I'm easy-going, flexible, often busy, but always in for a chat. I don't like stress, but I easily get stressed ;)

PHILOSOPHY

Philosophy, philosophy? Hmm, I think a personal philosophy is some kind of a paradox: philosophy is the art of knowledge or the art of thinking, so there's no such thing as a 'personal philosophy'. I prefer a dynamic and everchanging philosophy...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This summer will be my first couch surfing experience so for the moment I am actually searching for nice couches/hosts, but if it's a success, I will definitely be willing to offer my couch and company to show the rest of the world how beautiful Groningen is :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As said before, I don't have any experience yet, but a friend-of-a-friend-of-mine had positive stories. This summer I wanted to check out some more adventure than the average Costa-del-Sol-beach holiday, so together with a friend ('Suzalotje' here on CS) we decided to give it a try. I'm looking forward to it!

Reading, cooking, sports (both watching and doing), hanging out with friends/family. Occassionally, I like to sit on a couch and watch movies whole night, but most of the times I can't sit still longer than two hours :)

I like literature, music, and films in general as long as it captivates me and makes me contemplate. If I would mention a few names, I'd feel like I'm not being honest towards other authors, musicians, or directors. Besides, there's still so much on my 'to read/listen/see'-list that I simply cannot enumerate my favourites.
