About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission: To explore strange new countries. To seek out new friends and places to drink. To boldly go where I've never been lost before.
ABOUT ME
My mission says it all really. I'm only kind of serious about the drinking part. Kind of.
I spend most of my time around the Portland/Washington Metro area fixing computers, and computer related things. But when I manage to get away from work, I find myself reading, geocaching, hiking, and/or feeding my terrible video game addiction.
Our household has the snark-meeter set to max. Guests are great to have around to make life more interesting, and we'll certainly return the favor.
PHILOSOPHY
I'd have to say I find meaning in the "pursuit of happiness". Cliched, but it works for me.
Also, one of my favorite quotes: "If everybody swept their own doorstep, the whole world would be clean."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I went to quite a few Portland group meetups, and the people I've meat there are great. If you're traveling and happen to notice a meetup on the Portland group board, it is definitely worth showing up for.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Neither of us have couch-surfed, but plan on doing so in the future.
Interests
Pretty much what I outlined above.
- drinking
- reading
- traveling
- hiking
Music, Movies, and Books
I read a lot of genre fiction (mostly science fiction and fantasy). Favorite movies: Source Code, Serenity, Pitch Black, Office Space, Shaun of the Dead, Monty Python and the Holy Grail... You probably get the idea.
Fiance's favorites: The Dark Crystal, The Last Unicorn, all of the crap I listed above, and... The Twilight books. Sigh.
