Overview
About Me
I live in Tam Kỳ and will be here for a year teaching English. I've been lucky to have been able to travel a lot! I spent the last year studying abroad in Nepal and Uganda, and I've worked in Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and Argentina. I'm originally from California and my dad's family is all in Sweden, going to visit them for Christmas! Always love meeting new people and doing new things in crazy new places, try to live my life by not saying "no" to anything.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love classic rock and rap/hip hop. Tribe Called Quest, Metallica, Tenacious D, Dr. Dre, Rush, Bruce Springsteen, Zoé, I like so many different bands! Highlights of this year were seeing Interpol live a few weeks ago and going to a Run the Jewels concert on Halloween, both INSANELY GOOD.
Movies: Favorites are Goodfellas and School of Rock. Don't get to watch as many movies as I would like to but love watching spy and gangster movies.
Books: All the Pretty Horses, Motorcycle Diaries, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Children of Men, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, On the Road, Lord of the Rings. Have been getting more and more in to classic literature and try to read more every day!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Conducted research in a refugee camp for a month in Uganda. Spent my time living with Somali and Congolese refugees and learning about how they farm and work and try to provide for themselves and their families. Truly incredible and perspective-changing experience.
Trekked to Everest Base Camp!
Teach, Learn, Share
Always are trying to learn from those around me. I'm not sure if I have a lot to teach others but love to share experiences and stories!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm very laid-back and am down for most ANYTHING. Just hope to get to know you a little better and have the opportunity to learn about a place in a new way. Thank you!
