ABOUT ME

About me, I'm Erik, 21 years old and I'm from the Netherlands. I live in Utrecht, a small city which is only 20 minutes by train from Amsterdam. I'm gonna start a study HRM here this fall at the University of Applied Siences.

I started couchsurfing during a backpacktrip in Australia after I finished high school. I've only met amazing people through this project who were so kind to let me stay at their place and made me feel at home even at the other side of the world.

I grew up in a very traditional christian community but I'm not religious myself anymore. I'm interested in arts and culture and even though I'm no athlete, I like my sports. I like meeting new people and trying new things and I'm sure that this project will help me with that.

Being a surfer and starting to be a host as soon as I find a decent place to welcome other couchsurfers.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One of the most amazing things I've done in my life is a 5 week sailing trip from Cairns to Brisbane (Australia's east coast) We saw a lot of beautiful islands, did snorkling on the reef and saw a lot of dolphins and wales.

The most of my skills are not developed on a level that will make teaching worth it but I can always try to teach you Dutch.
