About Me
I should be grown up, but 'm not. In my early 30s and just cruising around taking it all in and trying to be a student of the world. Besides, who makes the 'grown up' rules anyways? ;)
I'm currently doing my PhD in Psychoneuroimmunology in sunny, beachy Newcastle, but cant wait for it to be over so I can travel more!
I'm easy going, and love people. I also own two rabbits (Tabbouleh and Polka) and they are super cute and super annoying, all rolled into one.
Come visit Newcastle. Its pretty swell!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- currently listening to arcade fire, Gillian Welch, Childish Gambino, Emmylou Harris, Beyonce (bow down), Nick Cave. I like anything with a good beat, or anything that is kinda sad, anything that is kinda happy, Anything! Spotify is my new best friend.
Books - Margaret Atwood is my favourite. Just started a book club so reading a lot of interesting things I normally wouldn't read. Just finished Neil Gaiman 'American Gods' and really looking forward to 'The art of Asking' by Amanda Palmer. Currently trying to get into 'The agony and the Ecstasy' by Irving Stone. Amy Poehlers book 'yes please' made me laugh out loud.
Movies- Action, romance (sucker for a good period drama! think BBC pride and prejudice), docos, scifi, cute/quirky stuff, Comedy. Anything with Bill Murray. Anything by Wes Anderson. Anything by Tim Burton. Clueless is my all time favourite- Such an epic time capsule of the 90's! All my childhood classics- like the Never-ending story and The Dark Crystal.
TV-Black Books, Broad City, Community, Parks and Rec, True detective, Six feet under, Brooklyn nine-nine, Orphan Black, Dr Who, New Girl, Amy Schumer, The mighty boosh, The office, Golden Girls
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled around the Canadian Rockies. That place is so amazingly beautiful. Addressing this question has made me want to do more amazing things!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you what my PhD is about (i promise i'll make it interesting!) and how to make polish pierogi. I also know how to make mean cocktails! We can always do some yoga together too.
Learning is the best. Yes please.
Sharing is caring.
