Overview
About Me
I'm a hippie American who loves to travel and meet new people. I studied for one year in France (à Rennes), lived for 8 months in Spain (a Valencia y Barcelona), taught English for one year in Morocco (f Mohammedia), lived in South Africa for 4 months (in Cape Town), and did my Masters degree in Canada (in Toronto).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet new people and make friends all over the world. And there is nothing better than discovering new cities with people who know them - who would want to stay in a hotel that looks like every other hotel in the world and only interact with people that you already know?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
These are more things that happened TO me, but good stories nonetheless:
I hopped off an Indian train once between New Delhi and Varanasi and almost got stranded - had to run at full speed alongside the train to jump back on it!
A baboon broke into my house in South Africa and I found him sitting on my kitchen counter eating a banana!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am happy to help you practice your English (I was a longtime English teacher before I went back to school for my PhD!). I love to cook and am happy to make you all the vegetarian food you want!
