About Me

I currently live in Seattle with my husband and two dogs, Rudie and Roxie. Seattle is growing quite fast and though living a mile from Amazon and downtown has it's perks, I am in need of travel once again. Travel and meeting new and interesting people fills my soul, and my "cup" so-to-speak, more than anything else.
I am blessed to live near my parents and brother, have wonderful friends, have a lovely career and live in a relatively safe city. Yet, my heart yearns for more, to see more of the world, have more experiences and learn more about this complicated yet fascinating world we live in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a teacher in my normal life, though this year I am subbing in order to be able to travel and teach in Spain in the Spring of 2019. I will be stationed in Granada, but will be taking a long road trip through Spain and France an will need places to stay along the way. I love meeting new people and hope to develop friendships out of my stays.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my most amazing experiences I've had was WWOOFing in Mendoza Argentina for three weeks one October. My Spanish really improved, I have gained an insane amount of respect for farmers all over the world, and learned about sustainable living- which now inspires me to be more that way.

Teach, Learn, Share

The KEY to our real transformation is the serenity found in the untamed.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a deep love of humans. My students see it in me when I teach, and this year after six years of teaching in a classroom, subbing has reaffirmed my love of meeting new people daily and sharing new experiences with others different than myself. This isn't always easy of course, but always rewarding. I seek this out in travel, in teaching and in life overall.
