About Me
I am a first time solo traveler. I have been backpacking with my friend Allie for 10 weeks but am now venturing off on my own to discover more of Europe. I am very excited to ski in the Alps, swim in the Mediterranean, and hike the Pyrennes. I want to enjoy good company, good food, and good wine.
I figure life is too short to waste so I'm out to discover what the world has to offer and what I can offer the world :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet wonderful people! I'm backpacking through Europe right now, and hopefully will be backpacking through out the world in my life, looking to meet up and share with people from different cultures with varying perspectives. Couchsurfing is such a great exchange - it allows you to really get to know the beat of a city, discover local favorites, practice languages, and engage with friendly and open minded people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have lived for 3 months both in Holland and in Barbados helping build traditional schooners. In Holland the project group lived together in an old squatters building, sharing meals, working together, and living communally. The space was nicknamed Freetown and it was a fantastic experience. People liberally decorated the home, practiced artwork on the walls, and cultivated a large garden plot. I had to return to Canada for school before seeing the boat finished, but it is now operating as a eco-friendly, zero-emission cargo ship!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have tons of great reggae songs to share with hosts :D
I would love to learn to cook authentic recipes, discover new music, maybe learn to play an instrument (but that's a long stretch), definitely learn more languages, and try my hand at gardening and horticulture.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Some good recipes! :)
passion for literature
passion for languages
hopefully good conversation! :)
and some fun stories!
I am always interested in sharing good beer and wine too!
(I sing shamelessly but that might not be a plus :P)
