About me sections are always so hard to write. I was born in raised in Minnesota, relocated after college and have spent the majority of my adulthood living in San Francisco, CA. I just recently relocated back to Minneapolis for work and music, and it has opened a lot more opportunity for me to have time and funds to travel... so with a trip to Copenhagen coming up late this year I figured I would give this website a shot.

I have an affinity for printmaking and heavy music. I spend my days working as a letterpress printer at a rad letterpress design studio here in Minneapolis, and my nights are usually dedicated to playing music or spent at a show supporting other local musicians. I front a sci-fi inspired doom metal band called Former Worlds, and spend other free time in my basement playing drums.

Other useless information about me: I really enjoy riding motorcycles and own a 73 Honda CB500 Four. I have an utterly adorable pit bull/bull dog mix named Spot (he's featured in my photos) who has traveled all over the country with me. I have been vegetarian for 12 years and love exploring around new places for veg friendly restaurants. Aside from printmaking, I am always working with my hands making something; handstitching books, sewing, shooting film photos, woodworking, brewing homemade komboucha, tending to my garden, knitting... really just enjoy making whatever I can.

Books: Everything Flannery O'Conner (especially her short stories), Urusula Le Guin, Kurt Vonnegut, Michelle Tea, anything sci-fi, memoirs, or any books that will teach me a new skill.

Music: Slow and heavy usually hits the right spot for me. Neurosis, Isis, Yob, Sumac, Mournful Congregation, Panopticon, Locrian, Mamiffer, Magrudergrind, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Sleep, Lotus Thief, SubRosa... and I like chill stuff too like Cat Power, Waxahatchee, Grouper, Ben Howard, Fiona Apple, American Football, Marissa Nadler, Neko Case.... list continues forever but I'll stop there
