About Me
Seattle, Washington, who has done some international travel, mostly in Western Europe but also in Japan. I have spent the most time in France, Croatia, Italy, in all of which I have stayed with host families through one exchange or another. I studied Italian in university for a year and spent 10 weeks immersed in Italy through my university's study abroad program. My major in university was Medical Anthropology and Global Health, which is the human side of medicine and how that affects health outcomes. I am really interested in people, biology, and social justice, and how all three work together, particularly in the form of health outcomes. This means that I love to learn about different cultures to see what societal structures have worked (or not worked) for a group of people. That is a big part of why I love traveling, and why I am interested in Couchsurfing!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have always had much better experiences in new cities and countries while staying with someone who lives there compared to in hotels. It is really great to be able to meet new people and have them give you the insider tips about a city that you would have a hard time getting any other way. This seems like an awesome community from what I have seen, and I hope to get more involved as time goes on!
