About Me
After getting my anthropology degree in 2017 I traveled to over 30 countries over 9 months without getting on a plane. My travels took me from Singapore to Mongolia, Germany, and finally the UK. Since then, I moved to Washington DC where I work as an ESL teacher and am taking some additional classes in order to apply to medical school next year. In my spare time I love to reading (always looking for book suggestions!) as well as spending time in nature.
I love learning about the odd and unique sites of a city--and what a better way to explore than through the eyes of locals!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I only started couchsurfing in August and I have already made some amazing friends. Couchsurfing enables you to experience the culture in a much more profound way than you would going from hostel to hostel.

Music, Movies, and Books
While I love all kinds of music, I am particularly drawn to old folk music from the 60's and 70's. I love to read so it is impossible to pick just one book, but some of my favorites are: The World According to Garp, Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers, The Secret History, And Then There Were None, Dreams From my Father, and Pillars of the Earth.
The Lord of the Rings series are my favorite movies, but I am a huge fan of movies in general. I am really good at film pub quizzes.
