About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy my life and make a difference in others
ABOUT ME
My friends would describe me as a happy person who laughs a lot and forgives easily. I enjoy hosting girls' nights with lots of wine and story telling. I dislike being idle and always have a project (or two or three) going at a time. Fortunately, I stay pretty well organized, but I'm also learning to be flexible. Sometimes the best things are the unexpected.
PHILOSOPHY
In recent years I have realized how quickly my life is passing me by. As I've focused on reaching this point in my medical career, I've neglected experiences that would make me happy. Therefore, I am striving to reach the perfect balance between work and play, and I think I've been doing a pretty good job in this last year. So my personal philosophy would be: Work first and play later, except when you should play first, then work later. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I am a sucker for RomComs and/or animated (read: Disney or Pixar).
Music: My car radio usually ends up on the country stations, but my brother occasionally takes pity on me and shares his music. Thanks to him I have Imagine Dragons playing now.
Books: Harry Potter, The Help, The Chaperone, The Phantom Tollbooth, any of the Stephanie Plum series, Hunger Games (especially book 1) just to name a few. My all-time favorite is Pride and Prejudice. What can I say, I'm a romantic.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I refuse to limit myself to only one amazing thing.
1. I became a Certified Open Water Diver while in Belize. On our final certification dive we were greeted by dolphins.
2. While hiking in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, my friends and I took a detour off a trail to climb the highest peak we could reach in that area. The view was breathtaking.
3. Have you ever seen a tornado? Years ago when I was in high school, I saw one form only a few hundred yards from me. Fortunately, I am still alive to tell the tale!
4. Surrounded by 13 elephants while on safari. Or just being on the safari in general.
