Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I joined CouchSurfing.org a few years ago. I am hoping to help build the community by welcoming and hosting people who come to my city and by meeting other CSers when I am out traveling.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I CouchSurfed for the first time many summers ago while traveling around Atlantic Canada with a friend of mine. We met some great people, shared entertaining stories, and had a lot of fun. I also hosted surfers when I lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota a few years ago. It was enjoyable to make new friends and host people that visited my city. Now that I am living in San Francisco, California, I am hoping to start hosting again!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have climbed up and slid down a volcano. The climb up was grueling. There was so much loose rock and gravel on the trail, probably a layer four inches thick. For every three steps forward it seemed that I slipped back two steps. But, finally after a 45 minute hike, I reached the top of the volcano. The view from the summit awed me, and the patches of smoke and steam rising from the crater unnerved me a little, but coming down that volcano was the most thrilling thing ever! I stepped, heel first, and slid down five feet with each footfall. Forty-five minutes to ascend and two minutes to descend. What a rush!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English, how to swim, and how to make tater tot hot-dish (my favorite Minnesota meal).
I would love to learn new languages, share with people about their daily lives, and make new friends.
