When I am not traveling the world, I hope to continue the random, brief, but powerful, life-changing connections with people from all over the world, who become family for a hour, day or week and whom forever leave a wonderful footprint in my heart.

ABOUT ME

Hi everyone, Since college I caught the travel bug and I am always planning my next adventure! When I travel I like to volunteer so I can meet the locals and learn more about their culture. I am new to Couch surfing and am really excited about trying it out! I have many friends who have nothing but great things to say about their experiences!

PHILOSOPHY

I think despite what the news tells us, we live in a world that holds some amazing, giving, friendly, open-minded people, who if we let them become our family for the time we are together.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My place is small, but I may have a couch, I am available to meet up with anyone who comes into town and would love to chat! I have a car and in my free time I love to go down to Sedona for hikes, runs or to lounge by the creek! There are also great hikes in Flagstaff and of course the Grand Canyon is just an hour and a half away!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not hosted anyone as of yet, but I have met some amazing people through my couch surfing friends and world travels who are part of this amazing connecting site!

兴趣

I enjoy running, hiking adventures, wildlife, photography and of course traveling! I love having friends over for wine and/or a pot luck. Cooking is something I never can get enough of and love trying out new things. I live to see new places and learn new perspectives on life! I am an animal lover and have a cat, hopefully soon a dog too! Road trips are always fun and camping! Flagstaff is also a great place to star gaze and I try to do that as often as I can. I like learing new dances and listening to different kinds of music as well as going to concerts.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I once traveled to Peru and went on a jungle trek with some new friends I met while traveling. One day while on a over crowded canoe on an offshoot of the Peruvian Amazon, we spotted an anaconda! This was such a rush and our guide told us it had been 5 years since he had spotted one!
Also meeting badass women of the world, the one that stands out the most was earlier this year (2012) when I stayed a few days in Sapa with 2 sisters. They told me about their daily life as Black Homong women. How tourism has helped and changed them, how happy and fulfilled they were and there was never a day when they didn't take time to appreciate there beautiful land and families.

I love languages and although English is the only one I am fluent in I would love to help anyone interested in improving their english and in exchange be taught some of your native language.
For those who like to cook we can share recipes and cook some of our favorite foods.
I also love making crafts and learning others. Crafts I work on include earrings, transition a digital photo into a painting (like a paint by numbers), pencil drawings and photography.
I work out doors so I can take you for a hike and teach you about some local flora and fauna. =)
