About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Get a local's take on NOLA on my trip to the Society for Social and Personality Psychology conference.
ABOUT ME
Most of my time is spent on school. I am working on a masters in experimental psychology and I have a BFA in studio art and a BS in psychology. I love to travel and find nothing more wonderful than getting on an airplane unable to imagine my destination because it is totally new! I love meeting new people and having new experiences.
PHILOSOPHY
"I must be a mermaid, I have no fear of depths & a great fear of shallow living."- Anais Nin

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all of Jessie Ball's books. I mostly read stuff for class and lots of non-fiction in my free time. Right now I am reading The Signal and The Noise, and I just finished Thinking Fast and Slow. I also watch too much TV (30rock, Community, Homeland, How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family, Newsroom, Mad Men...)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Right now I live in an apartment that used to be a part of a transcendental meditation center and I have a 70 mile view from my deck! The architecture here is wild and when we (my boyfriend and I) first found the place the temple and most of the surrounding buildings were abandoned (check out the photos.) I've lived in boone for over 5 years now and discovering this bizarr and breathtaking place in my back yard was a truly amazing experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach intro to psychology at the undergraduate level so I am happy to share my psych knowledge.
I also have a BFA with a fibers concentration and a metal smithing and jewelry design secondary concentration. I am happy to teach people about sewing, quilting, weaving, beading, felting, dying, book making, knitting, wire knitting, or just help you straighten out a DIY project.
I am also a classically trained Pilates instructor. I can teach at the beginner intermediate or advanced level with modification for any body. Let me know what you are working on and we can make plans!
I would love to learn more about different languages.
