CURRENT MISSION
Work to live and not live to work
ABOUT ME
I grew up in Ohio and traveled a bunch with my family. I got to go to many beautiful and fun places throughout my childhood, and I want to continue with that. Instead of going to pools, we went to rivers to search for geodes and arrowheads. Instead of going to resorts, we stayed at reservations and went to powwows. That started my love for traveling and things that are off the beaten path.
I now live in Austin, TX. I have shot guns and eaten more BBQ than I thought was humanly possible. Austin is the liberal capital of the South, the music capital of the world, and quite possibly one of the most fun cities in the States. Come visit! You won't be disappointed!
Right now I work three days a week as a pediatric nurse. Soon enough I am going into public and community health. I know it is news to everyone, but there is a huge obesity problem, as well as a pretty defunct healthcare system in the states. I will do my part to make in impact this way. I am also a disaster prepared nurse, so if there is a flood, fire, tornado, hurricane or earthquake, I may or may not be able to help.
PHILOSOPHY
Conan O'Brien summed it up nicely for me..."Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get, but if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."
