ABOUT ME

Curt and I love to bike, swim, run, backpack and do anything active and outdoorsy. I also love to read, write and dance. Curt loves to work on our bikes and plan adventures.

Curt is a physical therapist and I have worked in the environmental sustainability field and done a lot of hands-on education programs with youth.

PHILOSOPHY

Brighten the corner where you are. Let people help you when you need it. Help others when they need it. The things we enjoy most about life are meeting people and building relationships with them and being outside!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We rode our bikes from CO to OR and stayed with other members of the CouchSurfing community along the way.

Now we are excited to get to know people all over the place by letting them sleep on our couch (or twin bed), cooking them a meal or letting them take a hot shower or do laundry.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Curt and I have mostly stayed ant friends' houses all over the place. My most favorite part is eating together and seeing where our friends live.

We were amazed at our first couch surfing experience. The gentleman we stayed with left the key in the door for us so we could come into his place and make ourselves at home while he was at work. He even gave us his bed which felt amazing after many nights of camping. All the couch surfing people we have met have been super cool.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We completed a half-iron triathlon together. We also spent a week outside in New Hampshire backcountry skiing! And in Sept. 2011 we wrapped up a 2,775 mile bike touring adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

Erin can teach people how to make ribbon bags or bread! Curt can teach you basic bike maintenance.
