Overview
About Me
I grew up in Alaska, spent my 20s wandering the world, and now live and work as an artist in Brooklyn, NY.
I make paintings, sculptures, and stop-motion (claymation) animations about awkward/beautiful human shit. You can see some of them at www.erinpollock.com

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to see a new place through the proud eyes of someone who lives there. And people who are drawn to a community like CS tend to feel kindred.
I haven't used this platform in years. I think I had a different account with another email address like a decade ago but I can't really remember. So, I'm starting over! My recent couchsurfing experiences have been less official and somewhat more organic but it seemed time to get back involved with this beautiful community. I live in my art studio otherwise I would be excited to host. As soon as I have a more spacious living situation I look forward to offering space to other travelers. In the meantime, I'm here...humbly requesting your trust and a tiny corner to sleep in. I look forward to meeting you!
Interests
Things that make me happy: art studio hermiting, traveling without an itinerary, good music played loudly, dancing until drenched in sweat, boggle, speedscrabble, long-distance running, long-distance road trips, hotsprings, late-night lake swimming, live music, people watching, podcasts (have you listened to The Shadows yet?! Oof!), film and good TV (Fleabag is currently rocking my world), EATING (Korean and Vietnamese food are my favs), and meeting new people- like you!
Celebrity crushes: John Stewart, Donald Glover, Terry Gross, Ira Glass, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Charlie Kaufman, Miranda July.
