ABOUT ME

I am an easy going girl, love going out and staying in, being crazy and loud and non stop laughing, as well as sitting quietly for hours on end. I guess I'm a bit of everything all rolled into one!
I love animals, music, movies, dancing, laughing, traveling, shopping, getting lost in a new town and finding my way without a map.

PHILOSOPHY

A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.
Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue.
(I read these somewhere, not sure where, but I love the idea behind it!)

I have never hosted before but I would love to start, as I think that getting to know people from all over the world is one of the best experiences!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed once in Japan a few years ago and had an absolute ball, would love to do it again. I haven't had any experience with hosting yet, however I have been to a few dinners and get-togethers here in Perth, and I have to say that people here are really welcoming, and good fun!

Interests

Obviously love travel, always wanted to work in the tourism industry, however lately I have been looking more into the events planning industry. I am obsessed with pretty much all things Japanese, and have studied the language and the culture since primary school and all through high school.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I like comedies and action movies mostly, but given the right combination of company and atmosphere I'll enjoy just about anything. I don't really have any particular favourite movies but I have a huge collection of dvds at home including anything from A Knight's Tale, to Monty Python, to Secret Window to The Rocky Horror Picture Show! I am also on a mission to own every Tim Burton movie ever made... I'm on my way! :D

Music: I like almost all kinds of music, but at the moment my favourite bands are; Trivium, Bullet for my Valentine, Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, Kate Miller-Heidke, P!NK, Disturbed, SOAD, Parkway Drive, DevilDriver, Mayhem, John Butler Trio, Nightwish, Pendulum...
Wide range of genres!

Books: I don't read as much as I used to, but my favourite types of books are those which move so fast that you just can't put them down. I once read an 800 page book in one night - finished at 2am because I just couldnt stop! I love Matthew Riley, Michael Connelly and any other similar authors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bungy jumping from a cable car in Queenstown New Zealand. One of those things that I'm glad I did, but would never do again since I am afraid of heights!
Also sky diving over the snow covered mountains in Queenstown was one of the most fabulous experiences ever! I would DEFINITELY do it again and again!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn new things, anything you could teach me would be a bonus!
I don't have a lot to teach, though I love to cook, and I can speak a little Japanese, so I guess thats something!
