Présentation
À propos de moi
NO MEN!!! You must be verified. This is for safety reasons. Also, a three night maximum. I just started a new job and I have a lot of projects and professional events.
Phew. Now that that is out of the way...
My hosting philosophy: I'm quite busy with my new job, but I am willing to host people if I feel that the experience will be mutually beneficial. For safety reasons, I prefer only to host women at this time. Just shoot me a message and see if I am available for hosting and tell me why you think that I would be a good host for you and you would be a good guest for me.
My apartment: Located in Midtown Atlanta, it's walking distance to two different Marta stations and large assortment or restaurants and a grocery. Piedmont Park is about a mile away, as well.
I am vegetarian. I'm not against hosting meat-eaters, but I would prefer that you don't cook meat in my dwelling (you can store leftovers; I'm not that mean). I have a sofa that opens up to a queen-size mattress that you can use. You can use my towels and toiletries.
If you could bring me a trinket from your country, it would be greatly appreciated! I don't keep much food in my house, but I can point you to some good eating spots and I will accompany you if my schedule permits.
My building has a lot of security. For this reason, you will have to leave the apartment when I do (probably around 8 or 9 a.m.) and you can come back when I do (probably around 5 p.m.). I know that this is not ideal for many, but I don't really have a choice in the matter. On weekends, if I am home, you are free to go and come as you want, I'll just have to escort you up and down, but I don't mind. I don't mind if you stay out late as long as noise is kept outside the apartment. My apartment doesn't allow smoking, but I've seen people go around the corner to do it and you are welcome to do that if you need.
My travel philosophy. I have an unorthodox philosophy towards travel. I am not very concerned with seeing every famous monument, nor flying around on zip lines through the jungle. My primary objective that I achieve through travel is to get a snapshot (if not a portrait) of the human condition and lifestyle in a foreign country. That is not to say that I do not appreciate nature, but that if my time is limited in a destination, I will allocate my time as to focus on observing people.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I just recently moved from the suburbs of Georgia (which nobody ever wanted to visit) to the city, so I think that this may be a good time for me to host.
I've couchsurfed in Stockholm, Lima, and Sydney. Also, I have slept in numerous airports and with exchange students in their native countries that I met while I was studying abroad in Mexico. I have not had any complaints, to date.
