About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To eat my way through Southeast Asia and Europe (and the rest of the world, eventually)
ABOUT ME
I finished teaching English in Sisaket, Thailand in January (2014) and am backpacking through Southeast Asia and Europe with my boyfriend, Adam, until I return home to Chicago (USA) in July (2014).
I'm a die-hard foodie and will try almost anything once. One of my favorite parts about traveling is, hands down, eating the best local dishes. Adam and I are hoping to meet as many Couchsurfers as possible who can introduce us to the best food and drink around.
PHILOSOPHY
Work less and travel more.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My boyfriend and I have used Couchsurfing to help us travel through Europe, and we've had nothing but wonderful experiences! We are eager to host travelers when we return to Chicago.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We've been really fortunate to not only have great experiences each time, but we've also been able to form friendships with each of our hosts. Thanks again to all of our hosts for your generosity and kindness. You always have a place to stay in Chicago. We hope you visit!
Interests
Traveling • Eating everything in sight • Language • Grammar • Trying new, adventurous things that scare me (Next on my list: Skydiving in Interlaken, Switzerland) • Finding and eating/drinking at any place that American television personality/author and my hero, Anthony Bourdain, has visited • Spending time with locals • Recreational sports (emphasis on 'recreational')

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Comedy, comedy, comedy. I love everything from "Coming to America" to "Wedding Crashers"
Music: Classic rock, Top 40s (unfortunately), Billy Joel, R&B, some EDM, Beyonce
Books: I'll read just about anything. I'm currently reading "First They Killed My Father"...a horrific but insightful memoir from a woman who lived through the Khmer Rouge's reign over Cambodia.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Loi Krathong Festival in Chiang Mai, Thailand
Scuba diving in Koh Tao, Thailand
Abseiling down waterfalls in Vietnam
Next on my list: Skydiving in Interlaken, Switzerland
