ABOUT ME

I grew up down the coast from Portland in a log cabin in the middle of acres of conserved land. Recently I made the move to the "big" city. Right now I am trying to simply huddle in for the winter, cook delicious food and think/plan/brainstorm/dream/create what's next in my life. I am a avid listener and I love getting to know new people!

I currently live in an apartment in Portland, Maine with my friend and my boyfriend. We all have experience farming and living in communal spaces.
Activities in our house include:
-Listening to lots of good music
-Chopping, sauteing, roasting, baking, frying and dreaming of grilling

-XC Skiing
-Sometimes running around Back Cove

I am hoping to use Couch Surfing first as a hoster this winter and spring as I learn and explore my way around a new/old city.

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now, I am experiencing so much music for the first time through a record player. I love the way it sounds and feels to pick up a record. I love scanning through all these records at stores that thought they wouldn't make it past cassettes and now are surviving/thriving in a world of iTunes.
I love soul and R&B and pop.
Lately, these woman rock my world: Chaka Khan, Joan Armatrading, Aretha Franklin.
