CURRENT MISSION
TRAVEL and eventually find a job...
ABOUT ME
Hi.
I am Erin, originally from Killarney Co. Kerry, Ireland. My parents are English, my mother is of European descent. I have just qualified from Sustainable Energy Engineering in CIT, Cork and am now travelling in Europe.
I grew up going to festivals and listening to The Prodigy and Pink Floyd, which I believe gives me my taste in music and my openness and outgoing way of life today. I love travelling and am currently on a gradually expanding 6 month trip (now in on about 9) with my best friend and girlfriend Markéta (from Czech Rep). I have spoken French and look forward to improving it along with any other languages I come upon on my trip! I'm currently trying to learn the Hebrew alphabet and words in Arabic!
PHILOSOPHY
My outlook in life is to have fun, to eat well, to travel in order to understand the world and to treat every human with respect.
I think that music and our beautiful planet connect us all!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am travelling in the world and wish to meet as many lovely travelers and locals as I can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have not officially couchsurfed or been surfed on yet, but I have surfed a handful of waves in Kerry and had plenty of people crash in my spare room in Cork.
At my family home in Killarney, we have had many WWOOFers staying and living in our place. I am still in contact with some of the lovely workers we have had over the years.
Interests
I'm into animals, gardens, music, learning, history, water sports, hiking, people, reading, cycling, politics, partying, festivals, jammin' and talks. :D

Music, Movies, and Books
Life of Pi was a beautiful book (not such a good film). Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was hilarious as a book and a film. The Strange Rise if Modern India was very educational and eye-opening.
My musical tastes are very varied; Rock, Reggae, Drum and Bass, Deep house, Dub, Folk.
I play the Ukulele and drums and a bit of guitar. Started learning trumpet before I started traveling. Oh and didgeridoo!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
ONE??!! I'll put three of the most life changing;
Lived on the beach in a bender (gipsy inspired tent) for a summer
Traveled India for 6 months (on this trip)
Traveling through former Jugoslavija
And I lived in the amazing Sheffield in the UK for two years which is unknown as a tourist destination but is a cultural hotpot for us residents, you should come when I'm back :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe that Renewable Energy is the future of our energy source in Ireland and in whatever country you are from. I have studied this subject as I wish to maintain our green planet and not do too much damage.
I also am starting to know a lot about the history of our planet and current movements which I'd like to share my ideas on and would like to hear yours.
I can teach you to drum or strum if you're a beginner. If you're a pro if love to jam!
