About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to laugh with as many people from around the world as possible!
ABOUT ME
i am a photographer. lately i've been thinking a lot about what that means. i see things and i want to communicate my vision. it's been difficult trying to decide if what i want to do is sell my soul through commercial work. sure, it's where the money is, but it's not where my heart wants to be. i want to write books, take photographs, make a change in the world... and i will, even if it means one person at a time. i'll be there in the crowd at a show, in your living room, at your wedding, on the street, hiking up a mountain, snowboarding down, roadtripping through random ghost towns, camping in my car, capturing life and presenting it to you as though you never experienced it. in most cases you never did. it's possible you were just sleep walking- we're all guilty of it... but it's time to wake up. if i can be the one to wake you from your coma, let me know. i'll never force myself on you, change occurs only with your desire to do so.
PHILOSOPHY
see: about me
i am making a difference through my daily choices. i am making a difference by being a positive example. i am making a difference by including people in my space and by asking strangers how their day is going. if my presence and my positivity rubs off on to just one person per day, i'll feel as though i've accomplished great things in my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i participate through events, providing a nurturing and comfortable space for travelers, and by contributing to the positive community that makes couchsurfing such an incredible project. i want to do more.
I created a Google Map of my favorite spots in Seattle to hit off the beaten path. I'd love your feedback if you happen to experience any of my suggestions. I will be adding more as time permits:

played ultimate with an entire playground of kids in guadalajara, mexico.... went skinny dipping (finally!!!)under the moolight in hawaii with my ultimate team. (amazing things don't just revolve around ultimate)... went on a hash house harrier run through the public foot paths of cornwall while the sun was shining, the farmers were harvesting, and the ocean was gleaming... drank fresh-squeezed pomegranate juice in istanbul... had my palm read by a woman who just enjoyed looking beyond the every day surface level stuff...the smile on the taxi driver's face after i finally learned how to say thank you in turkish...

i love this site!
i bake cookies and they're damn fine... come have some! i've taught photoshop and photography and would love to share with you my methods. i have an innate sense of compassion and empathy and have held many a "couch" session should the need arise. i'm not afraid to go deep and find solutions. i'll ask questions just to make people think, but i don't need the answers.
