Overview
About Me
I'm a Seattle hipster who enjoys music, dance, and a good cup of coffee anytime of the day. I have been dancing for five and a half years and traveled all over the place to find good dance spots and seek that human connection. My favorite places right now are San Francisco and Vancouver, BC, but happy to be living in Seattle right in the middle of it all
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm looking to meet new people while traveling around. Tell me what you're passionate about and we can do a skill exchange!
Interests
Dance, specifically partner dance. I know east coast swing, blues, lindy hop, fusion, tango, west coast swing, Contact Improv and a bit of salsa, bachata, zouk, and kizomba, as well as a few ballroom styles. My weak points in dance are definitely solo styling and hip hop. I just can't look cool and confident on my own I guess.
I've also recently discovered a love for Acroyoga, rock climbing and cycling.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love anything "Danceable" that is, it has a strong beat, it speaks to your soul, or tests your creativity and spatial awareness.
I'm a sucker for Japanese literature, specifically Haruki Murakami's surrealism and imagination!
Movies, I prefer comedies and tv shows to the cinema, those places are too loud and crowded for a grandma like me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived in Japan for a year, traveling, studying, and dancing there.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn how to code!
I want to teach dance! I know both sides of the dances I mentioned above!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Do you want to learn Partner Dance? I know East Coast Swing, Lindy, blues, fusion, west coast swing, tango, contact improv, etc. Or we could go into some pretty intense conversations about sexism in Japan and the influence of religious texts on Japanese literature, but the first one seems more fun. I'm really traveling to go dancing and meet people that way.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Japan, Mexico, Venezuela
