About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Currently, my mission is to travel as much as possible. Like so many others on this site, yes, I consider myself a wanderluster. Travel will be a lifestyle for me, but I currently want to see as much as I can while I am young and free!
ABOUT ME
Ah, I consider myself a simple, and easy going person. I'm usually at my happiest over great food, wine, and adventure
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy can pretty much be summed up by the following quote by Mark Twain:
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
This is what I intend to do with my experiences with CS..
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I travel to see and experience the culture, food, and sights around the world that are different from my own. Yes, I admit that occasionally I get suckered in to some of the usual tourist traps (happens to the best of us) but I've found that there's no better way to experience a city than to spend time with locals and visit any place they recommend, without question...That's when you get to see the best. The stuff the guidebooks might not even know about.
I hope to one day share these same experiences as a host and keep the movement going.
Interests
My interests, sensible and superficial include: napping, horse back riding, language learning, other people's music playlists (I tire quickly of my own), travel, adrenaline rushes, dancing (Very. Badly), movies with uncomplicated plots (just want to watch, not think), wine (any kind, I'm no snob) and pretending to suddenly be an expert at anything as of the first time I try it out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Teach kids English with an NGO in Cambodia. While I was busy teaching them pronouns and prepositions, they taught me that I have absolutely NOTHING to complain about in life. Most were too poor to afford more than one or two pairs of clothes, began their days working for their family as early as 4:30 am, and were sometimes hit. Yet they always showed with huge, rotting smiles-- happy to be there and be learning. It was an experience I will never forget.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well I am certainly not qualified to teach anything that most people don't already know, but I am always looking to learn. I'm definitely a foodie, but can't really cook well myself, so it would be nice to learn about traditional dishes from around the world.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to share some of my travel stories, adventures and recommendations. That's usually my favorite part of meeting backpackers along the way. I am always inspired by their experience and hope to exchange mine with that of my host.
Also, a great bottle of wine and some laughs :)
