ABOUT ME
I've been studying linguistics for a long time now. I just started a PhD at James Cook University, and I'm still settling into Cairns.
I just finished my Master's degree in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and before that I was living in Germany for a while. Studying has been my excuse for trotting around the globe and it's been serving me pretty well so far. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've no permanent home as of yet, so I regrettably can't host any fellow travelers. I love the idea, though, and hope to help others explore the world. For now I must be content with sharing what I've learned as best I can and hearing the tales of those with the patience to tell them.
I've been getting more and more involved with the couchsurfing community in Edmonton, and I love the people I've been meeting and the sense of community to be had. They're a great bunch.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first experience with couchsurfing was with Isa in Regensburg, Germany. It was a great experience, and I look forward to repeating the couch surfing experience. And a second followed in Freiburg. I've also stayed with three different host families as a part of my university education, and am very grateful to them for opening their homes to me.
Interests
I love learning. Right now, I'm on a language and linguistics binge, but that is by no means my sole interest. I'm intrigued by everything from philosophy to engineering, from physics to history. Isn't it a tragedy I have to pick just one thing to study? Perhaps I'll just never leave university. I can dream, can't I?
