About Me
CURRENT MISSION
wear down all my shoes: dancing shoes, running shoes, hiking boots, climbing shoes...
ABOUT ME
Grew up in New York City and was a city chick for most of my life but after living in Gothenburg, Sweden for a year and moving to the Bay Area in California - I have seen so much more than what was in my 8.5 million populated bustling city. I have been grateful for every opportunity to meet someone different and learn something new, and be active.
As for me, I'm am a traveler, a dancer, a scientist, a student, a teacher, a climber, a outdoor adventurer, and hopefully someone much more each day.
Be ambitious. Be active. Spread positivity. Give appreciation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been to several CS meetings during my time abroad and it's a wonderful way to bring people together! I've met many fellow CSers through my travels. I've also hosted occasionally in Sweden - a long awhile ago. Now I try to chat with local CSers, get beta on local places and tips about the area, see what makes them love the city they are in.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing really brings a level of interaction that I normally wouldn't encounter on my travels. I'm less afraid to travel alone and be out of my element. It's a way of meeting some of the most wonderful people and everyone bonds over the mutual idea of generosity and hospitality. But I've surfed quite often through some of Europe - Holland, Norway, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Austria.
Interests
being active: climbing, hiking, camping, dancing (salsa), biking, walking
sharing: cooking, exploring markets, dancing, coffee breaks
things that steal my heart: a mountain view, cold swim in crystal lakes, a connected salsa or a cha-cha dance, chilled wine on a hot day

Music - a motley mix of nostalgic pop, epic 80s, alt rock, indie folk & rock, now with a good mix of salsa and chachachas
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Every mountain peak I've climbed so far has never ceased to impress me.
I have been blown away by so many breathtaking 360 degree views, beautiful architecture, historic cities...
