ABOUT ME

I am a scientist trying to reveal mysteries of microbial growth so that we can develop new ways to kill the harmful ones. Though I am highly involved in my science, my project lets me to travel around and meet interesting people!
Whether I am home or traveling for work, I follow one simply philosophy: Work hard, party hard!!

I am scientist (below) but art too is a key ingredient in my life. I have been highly interested in photography for over a decade and own my own home studio. I crave for taking pictures of people (such as portraits or fashion takes), because I believe a person is the best subject to catch uniqueness on a picture. With our spontaneously and rapidly changing emotions we are the best argument for 'not being able to step into the same' photograph twice.

Since high school I knew that only science could truly satisfy me in life. More recently I found out that I need to be playing with little things such as bacteria, because I knew more complex systems such as the human biology would overwhelm me with infinite parameters. In this context 'synthetic biology' is a highly exciting approach as a tool to improve our control in governing parameters of relatively simpler organisms, which I am incorporating into my research.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Just before my most recent travel, I have ridden my bicycle into a curb full force (unintentionally of course), which conveniently left me with a totaled bike and a broken ankle. The interesting thing was that frozen split second when I was flying off my bike:
I clearly remember the sound of the exploding tire and my thoughts while I was floating in the air. At that moment the time almost stopped. It was incredible.
The moral of the story: Dont ride your bike at night especially if you are slightly buzzed and if you dont have bike lights.
