Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I traveled for a year with the international, multi-cultural group Up with People. During that time, I not only roamed with a cast of over 150 students from all over the world but I got to stay with a host family of each region we visited. I stayed with over 60 host families and each one was an experience in life, love, and (the most interesting thing) food! I remember my first German host family vividly. It's sort of part of the German culture (or at least it was when I was there) to have the big meal in the afternoon. Well, of course I'm used to eating a big meal in the evening and my host family found this a little odd but wanted to accommodate. So whenever I would come back from rehearsal they would have a bowl of cereal waiting for me. It was awesome! I love cereal!

My life is full of surprises. I've traveled the world with Up with People, met celebrities like Drew Barrymore and Tyra Banks, and have seen the ocean on both sides of the US!
