Resumen
Sobre mí
In 2014 I started actively using cs, mostly looking for a place to stay when I was on long solo trips. Although I've become more isolated in recent years, I still try to be part of this community from time to time.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
It all started with curiosity and a desire for adventure. I learned about the existence of Couchsurfing from a traveler's blog in 2014. At first I was nervous because I was young and had just started traveling abroad, but over time I grew in confidence and met many nice people who welcomed me in their homes during my solo travels. Over time I became more and more interested in travelogues, diaries and new places, always carrying with me the excitement of Edmondo De Amicis on the Golden Horn as he entered Constantinople.

The Toilet
(20 February 2015, Genoa at the airport)
While I was living in Italy, I wanted to return to Turkey during the semester break to see my family, and after some research I found the cheapest route (namely Bari-Genoa-Istanbul) to fly from Bari to Istanbul, but I had to stay one day in Genoa because the flight from Genoa to Istanbul left one day later, but since I had used my last money for the plane tickets, I would never have gone to a hostel. Therefore, I had to stay at the airport for one day. In the past, I have often stayed at airports, so I thought it wouldn't be a problem until I saw the information that was on the front door of the Genoa airport. There it was written that the airport is closed from 1:30 am to 4:30 am. After seeing this information, I was worried. What should I do?". It was winter and very, very cold. Therefore, I would never have waited outside, and then I waited anxiously at the airport until 1:30 at night without finding a solution. By 1:30 all the passengers had left except me. The last flight attendant started to turn off all the lights and said to me, "You have to leave and you can't stay here. I said to him, "Is there no way you can stay at the airport until morning?" and he said firmly, "NO!!!" and I gathered my things and went to the entrance, but when he entered the interior to turn off the other lights, I ran to the ladies' restrooms and entered the last stall of the restroom corridor. After some time I heard the sound of his feet, slowly he approached and entered the corridor, meanwhile the speed of my pulse rate reached the peak, fortunately he only turned off the light of the toilet and went out. I continued to sit on the closet because I was not sure if he had left the airport or not. I thought he was waiting at the airport, so I didn't leave the cubicle until I heard the sounds of new passengers. It was almost 5 in the morning. Waiting in the toilet cabin for 3 hours is one of the unforgettable memories for me. I still think that at least it was hotter in the toilet cabin than outside.
