My mission is to learn something new every day, and if that fails, then every second day will do!

ABOUT ME

I left Italy soon after high school and based myself in London. It was to be for a few months, but I ended up staying some 20 years.
I love travelling, watching movies, dancing, cycling, and especially never to get bored.
Life is just too short for that...
I love cats. A lot!

PHILOSOPHY

I have, since long, renounced any specific political belief, as well as any defined national identity. I do not get tears in my eyes by looking at any particular flag...
I have an interest in spirituality and esoteric, however I do not really have the time (or are too lazy) to follow as much as I would like.
I love to ride my bicycle, but do not follow sports, with a special dislike for football (soccer).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I take part to community events, host people travelling to wherever I am, or meet them for coffee, when possible.
I sometimes relocate, and it is great to learn a new place via CS eyes, rather than random sampling of impersonal places, tourist traps, and all the likes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, so good!
I have met a lot of interesting people from around the word, all with interesting stories to tell.
Some, went straight into the amazing department...

Movies, now that is along, long list.
Maybe it is quicker to say what I do not like: commercial rubbish, especially if it comes from Hollywood, predictable love stories, most movies with Richard Gere, Julia Roberts, Kevin Costner, to give you an idea.
Nevertheless, I have a great appetite for movies, and I like great classics as much as new and inventive stuff.

My number one writer ever is Nabokov, but in the past I read most of Bukowsky, Burroughs, Anthony Burgess, and then also Kerouac, Hemingway, Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke and many more. My latest craze is Tiziano Terzani, as I proceed to polish his entire bibliography. Special prize from the jury goes to "The Road Less Travelled"€ by Scott Peck.
Latest love: Donna Tartt (The Goldfinch)

Music is also a very big list. Top three are "€œGreat Female Voicesâ€" (Ella, Feist, Nora Jones), Dance music and Lounge (Ibiza, Desert Lounge, etc), Italian Cantautori. Also big on classical and some rock.

I can cook, understand a little IT (but no real expert), and a lot of general knowledge with no specific purpose.
I am interested in learning about the esoteric and maybe even a little magic. I am very interested in Oriental culture and would love to learn a lot more on topics such as Ayurveda, Vedas, Buddhism, Tai Chi.
I also love to practice my Spanish and French, which I speak semi-fluent, but still with a lot of errors.
