Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm, 24, ginger and Italian, but just because I was born there. Since very early I was taken around Europe (Switzerland, Luxembourg and Belgium) by my parents and then kept moving, from London to Samoa, a small island in the middle of the Pacific ocean, where I lived last year and left my heart. Now I'm back in London, sometimes with a spare room and happy to share.
I've mostly studied and worked in NGOs, greatest passions are photography, mountaineering and sailing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm new to couchsurfing. In the past I hosted many with airbnb because I badly needed some money, and the experience of meeting new people has always been great because our house is very cosy and we feel like a family. I love the concept of couchsurfing so it was time to start!
Interests
I've studied photography to follow my passion but I won't describe myself as a photographer because I want to pursue other career paths. Maybe one day I'll be more confident and change again.
- photography
- jazz
- mountaineering
- sailing
Music, Movies, and Books
Great musical experiences transcend specific music genres, so I won't list my favourite ones because they would be too many. I love music when it's good, when it brings emotions and has a real creative process behind. My favourite movie in 2017 was Thelma by Joachim Trier, for this year I'd say Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri. If you haven't watched it I strongly recommend it. I read a lot, maybe too much because days go by so easily and as a freelancer that's not good. Always felt uncomfortable to answer which is my favourite book, so different and great
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Flown on an old soviet plane over Afghanistan to train afghans in remote areas for avalanche prevention on the border with Tajikistan, not a joke, even the pilot was smoking.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn new things and hear life stories from new people. From my side, I can teach a bit of photography and my grandother's italian recipes, the greatest asset.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking is slightly cliché but I'm actually quite good at it, with a genuine enthusiasm. I'm capable at repairing things, and I need to find a way to include photography in my couchsurfing experience!
