About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To boldly go where a bunch of people have probably already been before.
ABOUT ME
I like to cook. I like people who can cook. I also like people who like to eat what I cook, or who will cook for me. All such people are urged to apply.
I am originally from Hialeah (right by Miami), a city which was 98.7% Cuban according to the last census. While it's not the most fun, exciting, or party-hearty place in Miami, I do believe it is the single most interesting. Spanish and English share predominance and the food, music and culture is really distinct from anything else in the United States. I enjoy taking people around to eat in my home town and see how we do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have a living room with a couch and several air mattresses for surfers. Because I am working on my Masters, I will tell you up front if you will be largely unattended during your stay or whether we can hang out. Either way, I am a five minute walk from Harvard Yard and a ten minute walk from Porter Square.
Also, I have *female roommates!* That makes some women feel more comfortable about surfing with me.
Warning, gentlemen: for that same reason, sorry, but no creeps allowed.
Interests
I studied religion and philanthropy at Harvard University and now work in Harvard development (fundraising).
I also do Ju-Jitsu and Aikido and am always interested in being exposed to new martial arts. I hope one day to learn Angampora in Sri Lanka!
I also enjoy rock climbing and, like I mentioned about, cooking.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love blues, rock, folk rap, hip hop, and virtually anything with lyrics that have something to say or music which distinguishable instruments/beats. Really. I'm quite easy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Harvard. The whole institution is just unbelievable; it's like its own wonder of the world. Also, Green Dragon Monastery and Farm in San Francisco.
